VeganMoFo Day 19: A belated Freebie Friday the third

It’s a short, sharp and shiny MoFo post from me today- and a bit late, too (but it’s still Friday somewhere, right?). We had a great time at the wedding yesterday and I’ll be sure to share a post about it soon- but now that that’s over, we’re trying to see as many friends and family as possible before we head home tomorrow afternoon.

Today’s freebie Friday giveaway is a fun one, courtesy of one of my newly discovered favourite companies, the Byron Bay Chilli Company. I wrote a bit about their hot sauces in my post about our trip to Byron Bay back in July, and they’re still some of our favourite sauces (you might have noticed the significantly emptier bottles in my kitchen tour post the other day!). In addition to making some seriously good condiments, the people behind the company are super awesome and were more than happy to donate some goodies to a lucky winner- while having a reminiscing chat about the Splendour in the Grass festival.

The folk at Byron Bay Chilli have donated a five-pack of hot sauces, including:

  • Red cayenne chilli sauce with lime;
  • Green jalapeño chilli sauce with coriander;
  • Heavenly habanero chilli sauce with mango;
  • Smokin’ mango chilli sauce with chipotles (my favourite!); and
  • Spicy sweet chilli sauce with lemongrass.

I’m super jealous of this one and can’t wait to get my hands on some of the other flavours myself! This giveaway is open worldwide to one lucky winner. To enter, just leave a comment here telling me which sauce takes your fancy and what you would serve it with. Don’t forget to leave an email address so I can contact you! Good luck!

    Yum! I like the sound of the habanero and mango. I’d have it just on a simple refried-bean tortilla.

    Love your blog – I used to live in Canberra, I wish I’d discovered your blog when I lived there.

    Thanks!

    Wow. Those sound so good. I’d go with the sweet chilli sauce with lemongrass…I think it would be a nice addition to some Pho, possibly, or in a peanut sauce with udon. Mmmm…

    I’d make their Spicy Satay Tofu Skewers with Mango Chilli Dipping Sauce using the Smokin’ Mango with Chipotles…it sounds superdelicious! I’d love to use all of them as dipping sauces for potato wedges and zucchini fries and breaded mushrooms…and definitely as a topping for every vegan burger I can make until all the sauces run out! :)

    I didn’t see an end date for the contest, so I hope I’m not too late. I love hot sauce on so many different things. But I would love to try the Red Cayenne Chile Sauce with Lime on some wings!!

    Oh, they all sound so good. I’d probably pick the jalapenos and coriander just because that sounds like it’d go with so many things. Like glugged all over some nice cashew cheese-corn tamales…

    The heavenly habanero chilli sauce with mango is the one that I’m most interested in. I love mango and the word “heavenly” in its name sounds promising! They all sound pretty awesome, though.

    Yay Byron Bay Chilli Co! I’m from the Uk, and included Australia in a recent backpacking adventure. We ate at OzyMex when we were in Byron Bay. But our backpacks were already too full to pick any treats up! x

    I’m a sweet & spicy kinda girl so, I’d like to try the spicy sweet chilli sauce with lemongrass and I’d serve it as a dipping sauce for some fresh made summer rolls.

    Hot sauces are hard to come by here so they all sound incredible! The cayenne with lime would probably help spice up some of the bland Austrian food.

    Yummy, love some spice in my life! I think I’d go with you on the “Smokin’ mango chilli sauce with chipotles”. I think it would be great for grilled tofu or maybe for tossing chickpeas in before sautéeing them to crispy perfection…

    They all sound divine but I think I’d go for the Green jalapeno and coriander, I may have an addiction to coriander… I even use it as a salad leaf!
    Just wanted to let you know the outback spices arrived safely today :) They smell divine and I can’t wait for tomorrow’s meals so I can start enjoying them. I’ve got them marked for a smoked tofu steak and creamy lemony pudding…mmmm
    Thanks again! xxx

    These all sound yummy but think I’d first try the Red cayenne chilli sauce with lime in a tofu scramble.

    I hope you had fun at the wedding! It’s so hard to choose, but the one that looks best to me is Heavenly habanero chilli sauce with mango. Sweet and spicy sound like the perfect pairing!
