Vegan Eats World

Where has the year gone? It doesn’t seem that long ago that Vegan MoFo 2011 was wrapping up, and now it’s almost upon us again. With that in mind, I thought it was about time I got myself organised and posted a few things I’ve been hoarding lately- mainly, some teaser photos from some great tester recipes!

Testing for Terry’s latest wrapped up a few months ago, and the resulting book is now available for pre-order! World food cookbooks are my favourite, and this one is the best of the best. The release date is still a little while away, but this is already my absolute favourite cookbook- and I don’t have a small collection. A few of these recipes have been made over and over again in our house already, and I find myself turning to the tester page whenever I’m not sure what to make for dinner.

But enough words- here’s a sneak peek at some things we’ve loved!

Eggplant masala, coconut bean curry and vegan naan

Orange fennel tempeh crumbles

Stir fried greens with veggie oyster sauce

Muhamarra

Edamame gyoza

Italian cashew ricotta cheesecake with balsamic berries

Thai green curry

Moroccan bisteeya

Spinach wonton soup

Hungry yet? I know I am- as a matter of fact, I think I’ll throw together Terry’s super delicious pad kee mao tonight!

Your photos look amazing, Erin! :-) Where did you find the edamame for the gyoza? I’ve searched high and low, but sadly I haven’t been able to find any fresh (or frozen) edamame in Perth.

Apparently The Book Depository shipped my copy of Vegan Eats World on the 19th, so I’m expecting it to arrive early this week… I can’t wait!

I haven’t had any trouble finding it in Asian supermarkets. The bag never says edamame though, usually something confusing like ‘soy bean meats’!

Thanks Erin, I’ll have to take another look. :-) Did you find them in the freezer?

All of these look great. I’ve pre-ordered this book and can’t wait until it comes out. Sounds like it will be one of my go to cookbooks.

Your photos are gorgeous! I found that testing for Terry was so rewarding because her recipes are so delicious and I’m often back at the tester page too. The Thai green curry is one of my faves, must make that again soon.

The green curry was a favourite for us too, I’ve probably made it once a month since first trying the recipe (that’s a lot for me)!
